The mission of the ARTT Center of Excellence is to promote substance use disorder research, treatment, and training at UT Health San Antonio and facilitate the translation of discoveries in basic science to clinical care. ARTT provides a formal mechanism for bringing together a diverse group of scientists, clinicians, and educators in order to identify and develop novel behavioral and pharmacological approaches to treating substance use disorders.
The vision of the ARTT Center of Excellence is to stimulate innovative research leading to breakthroughs in the treatment of substance use disorders and to train the next generation of addiction scientists and clinicians.
Members in the ARTT Center of Excellence represent a wide range of scientific and clinical perspectives, from chemistry to biology and behavior. Researchers, educators, and clinicians at UT Health San Antonio are on the cutting edge of addiction science and are making significance advances in the understanding and treatment of substance use disorders.
This multi-day conference focuses on translational aspects of addiction research among chemists, biologists, and behavioral scientists.
