Utility and Service Notice

Power Outage for Academic Learning and Teaching Center (ALTC) on August 11

August 1, 2018

This notice is for a scheduled power outage for the Academic Learning and Teaching Center (ALTC).  All normal power to the ALTC will be unavailable.  Emergency power outlets and emergency lighting will be available throughout this outage.

Power outage start and end times:  Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 7 a.m. with power to be restored by 12 p.m. of the same day.

The purpose for this electrical outage is to connect electrical infrastructure to the University's new 13.2kV main switching station.  

Please secure all sensitive equipment not on emergency power or on a UPS, such as computers and instruments, before the electrical outage.  Buildings and campuses not affected are the:  Medical School, Nursing School, Dental School, Administration Building (aka the HR Building), Academic and Administration Building, Library, Lecture Hall, Parking Garages A and B, FM Building, Print Shop Building, Warehouse, University Police Building, Former UTPD Building (occupied by the Dental Dean Staff), Texas Star Café, Mays Cancer Center, MARC, PARC, Center for Oral Health Care, UT Plaza, STRF, RAB, McDerm, CCRI, NEP, CEP, TRP and the UT Health Hill Country.  Should you have any questions, please contact me via this e-mail or Jennifer Johnson, Manager, Project Management, at 210-567-2883.
