Renovation of Fifth Floor Lab in Medical School
Additional lab renovations have been completed for Dr. Paolo Casali, an immunologist known for pioneering studies of processes that underpin the body’s response to viruses, bacteria, cancer cells and tissue/organ damage in autoimmune diseases, and his research team.
The renovations included combining the three small labs into one larger lab space to help facilitate the methods of research in a more evolved and modern laboratory. These methods of research include scientists working both individually and within a team/group. The design of this laboratory is based on facilitating innovation with increased mobility in the space, as well as a focus on economical and sustainable methods of construction, including recycling and reusing basic pieces that includes cabinets and countertops. There is also a considerable amount of natural light allowed in which will help facilitate productivity in the lab.
Thomas Strempke was tasked as Project Manager for this project.
